During the night of May 25, the Reverend Benedict T. Viviano, O.P., STL, PhD, STM died in his sleep at the Resurrection Life Center in Chicago, Illinois. Fr. Viviano was internationally renowned as a scholar of sacred scripture, particularly of the Gospel of St. Matthew.

Fr. Raphael Fabish died on April 20, 2023. Fr. Raphael served many years in many different ministries, including Missionary work in Mexico, hospital chaplaincy, and serving at various parishes throughout the Province.

Fr. Jon Alexander died on March 3, 2023 of cancer. He had taught at Providence College for many years and then was pastor out in New Mexico where he loved to ride horses.

Fr. Peter Hereley, OP died on February 3, 2023 in Chicago, Illinois and was buried in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. He was 94 years old.

Fr. Michael Champlin, OP died on November 21, 2022 at his home at the Thomas More Center for Preaching and Prayer in Webster, Wisconsin. He was 83 years old.

On November 19, 2022, Fr. Richard John Woods, OP went to the mercy of God. Richard died peacefully in Tallaght, Ireland, where he had been hospitalized for several months due to brain and neck injuries resulting from falls. He is buried in the Dominican cemetery there. He was 81 years old.

Fr. Vincent Blake, OP died on November 26, 2022 and is buried at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. He was 97 years old.
