Welcoming Our Novices!

New friars receive the habit of St. Dominic — Six novices receive the Dominican habit.

On Sunday, August 16, 2020, six men received the Dominican habit at St. Dominic Church in Denver, Colorado, marking the beginning of their novitiate for the Province of St. Albert the Great. Br. Augustine, Br. Jeremiah, Br. Joseph Cullen, Br. Jacob, Br. Andres Maria, and Br. Bernard officially begin this next step of the discernment process as they “try on a year” as Dominican friars.

The novitiate serves as a year for these men to pray, begin informal studies, and live in community. Under the guidance of Fr. Dave Wright, OP, our new Novice Master, they will continue their discernment. Please keep the newest friars in our province in your prayers as they embark on this next step of their Dominican lives.
