Blessed Sacrament Update

A message from the Provincial, Fr. Louis Morrone, OP, and the Provincial Council:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Dominican Friars' withdrawal from Blessed Sacrament Parish and the Diocese of Madison on June 30, 2024. Having served the community for over a century, this decision, made after careful consideration, stems from the need to reorganize our ministerial priorities and community life in light of the challenges and opportunities faced by our province.

Despite our departure, Blessed Sacrament Parish and School will continue under the Diocese of Madison, with a new pastor to be announced by Bishop Hying. We appreciate the support of Bishop Hying and Msgr. Bartylla, Vicar General, in facilitating a smooth transition.

We thank the Blessed Sacrament community for the friendship, care, and prayers over the years. We navigate this change seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit and trusting in the promise of a rich harvest through Jesus Christ.
