Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, the only Catholic Institution in the world offering a Doctorate in preaching, is sponsored by the Dominican friars of the Province of St. Albert the Great. Priesthood candidates at the school prepare for ordination alongside vowed religious and lay people pursuing careers in the Catholic Church or simply seeking a richer faith life. Aquinas Institute of Theology, once housed in River Forest, IL and later in Dubuque, IA, has been a ministry of the Province of St. Albert the Great for over 75 years and a source of theological education for every Dominican in the Province since its founding.
